Brooke Brod began volunteering with Act New York in 2004, spending the summer and fall touring the many fine neighborhoods of Philadelphia, Allentown, Levittown and (after a last minute call from Andrew Solomon) Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania registering voters and turning them out. Disappointed, but undaunted, she remained involved and joined the ACT NOW Leadership Group in early 2006. She returned to Pennsylvania in the summer of 2006 where she got to explore Norristown, Phoenixville and Chester. In 2008 she’s looking forward to completing her tour of Eastern Pennsylvania and putting more Democrats in the Senate, not to mention the highest office in the land. When she’s not knocking on the doors of strangers Brooke can be found directing, producing and teaching theatre in New York City and beyond.
