Margot Albert’s political activism began as a law student in Los Angeles, where she served as Executive Director of El Centro Legal Clinics. In that capacity, she was involved with a number of clinics, but it was the registering of the homeless in Skid Row for the 2004 election that was the most meaningful, and the impetus for her current involvement. Margot also traveled on weekends to Las Vegas to canvass with America Coming Together, where she was further inspired upon discovering a groundswell of activism by people from all walks of life. After moving to New York in 2006, Margot began volunteering with ACT NOW, where she happily found the same enthusiasm and commitment that she experienced in Nevada. Margot works at Legal Services for the Elderly in Queens, where she litigates predatory lending cases on behalf of low income homeowners.
