Ethel Sussman Email

Ethel Sussman, red-diaper baby, feels as if she’s been involved in politics for her entire life, having been deeply affected as a child by the Rosenberg case and the McCarthy period. She did both organizing and civil rights work in the 60s, spent what seemed like a lifetime protesting the Vietnam War, and has continued to be politically active in the years since. Ethel’s involvement with ACT began during the disappointing 2004 Presidential race, and she worked with ACT NOW on both state and federal races in 2006. When not working with ACT NOW, Ethel tries to earn a living as a consultant in international education, does anti-war and environmental work with the North Fork People of Conscience on Long Island, and is involved in a range of community issues.
